MY BUDDY

After 999999999999999999999 years, mostly due to me being forgetful.... I have finally met my bonsai buddy! Her name is Rachel Seah and is currently in 5th grade. Not only did I meet my buddy, but her friends as well. They all seem to be outspoken and not at all shy. What I know so far: Rachel and her friends love reading...they prefer to read while eating lunch than to talk. Which seems to be a challenge as she likes to read ALONE (hopes of being a storyteller gone down the drain).

But on a positive note, she is interested in me bringing a board game next time I meet her so that her friends, her, and I can all play. In my books: games = friendly rivalry = bonding time. So far we have not settled on a time to meet so I'm supposed to 'surprise' her, which is very likely to be in a week's time.
Today, the adventures of Rachel and Lorraine officially commence! (dundundundun)

WWD

WORLD WATER DAY took place today and I had the privilege in taking part of this event
Goal: to last one day on 1.5L
1.5 L water bottles were distributed to all participants and on with your day you went.

Sadly to say, I failed to go the whole day on that one bottle alone. For instance, without thinking, I washed my hands after using the bathroom only to realise I had probably used up half the bottle if I had actually used the bottled water instead of the tap.

I had fun since it was a new experience, but at the same time, everytime I poured out of that bottle I was reminded of how some people in the world experience this everyday, and to them it is not a 'new experience'. It's Reality. (not to mention the water they do have is not safe to drink)
